Giving
St Peter’s Church is a member of the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) supported by the diocese of Exeter. This well-run scheme enables the Church to benefit more quickly from the gift aid on our donations. Regular giving can be set up monthly, quarterly or annually, and may be linked to the annual increase in inflation, if desired.
Our own experience has been that joining the PGS enables us to feel reassured that we continue to contribute to the regular income of the Church, even if we are unable to attend a weekly service.
To cover the parish contribution to the diocese, the Church needs around £10 per week from regular attender. In addition, we also need to look after the upkeep and work on our own building. Alongside financial donations, many people also give generously to the Church in lots of other ways, which are greatly appreciated.
